WCRF Criticises Meat Industry Over Misleading Public Statement

World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) has accused the British meat industry of misleading the public by making factually inaccurate and potentially defamatory comments.

In a coordinated attack, the National Beef Association (NBA), the British Pig Executive (BPEX), the National Sheep Association (NSA) and the National Farmers’ Union (NFU) have issued statements suggesting that WCRF has misled the public with its recommendations on meat.

Last years 3rd place male runner Mykhaylo Iveruk wins the 2009 Macau Galaxy Entertainment International Marathon with a time of 02:17:45. He narrowly beats Kenyan competitors Micah Kipserem Chuma and Jusius Kibet Mebur.

The event aims to develop local sports, to raise the level of running and to strengthen the friendship with people from different parts of the world.

According to a Newspoll survey commissioned by the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA), almost half of Australian adults (46 per cent) tried to lose weight in the 12 months to November last year. But only one in five thought they had been ‘very successful’.
